Out‑of‑District Participant Policy
A Team
- No out‑of‑district participants are permitted on A team.
- A team rosters will consist exclusively of BCSD residents and/or BCSD students.
B, C, and Flag Teams
League rules require member organizations to fill rosters with players from their own school district first. Out‑of‑district players may be considered only under the conditions below.
Out‑of‑District Player Eligibility
Out‑of‑district players may be added at B, C, and Flag levels only in the following situations:
1. Minimum Roster Not Met
If the program does not reach the required minimum number of players using BCSD students or residents:
- Out‑of‑district players may be accepted with written approval from the member organization that covers the school district where the registrant attends or resides.
- Exception: No member organization covers RCSD. Registrants who reside in or attend RCSD do not require approval.
2. Minimum Roster Met, Home Organization Is Full
If the program reaches the minimum required roster size with BCSD students or residents:
- Out‑of‑district players may be accepted only if the registrant:
- Attempted to register with the member organization covering their home district, and
- Was placed on a waitlist or turned away because that organization was full.
- Written approval from the registrant’s home member organization is still required.
- Exception: RCSD registrants do not require written approval, as no member organization serves that district.
Policy Review
This policy will be reviewed annually or as needed to remain aligned with program needs and league requirements.
